Mama's Girls has been touring for six consecutive years and has reached millions with their message of caregiving and diabetes awareness via their stage performances as well as a DVD, a book and a soon-to-be-released movie.
This is the first stop on Mama's Girls' 2017 national tour, which is sponsored by the American Diabetes Association, the Wake Forest School of Medicine and Gdavis Productions, one of the leading urban touring theatrical productions in the country over the last 21 years.
This production focuses on Baby Girl (played by Julie Logan) formerly of Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers who must change her lifestyle now that she is managing diabetes. Experience laugh-out-loud comedy with crazy Paulette (played by Latonya Simms) and trash-talking Ruthie May (Samantha McSwain). Additional characters include Michael (Deon Jones) and Jasmine (Keya Hamilton).
This hilarious production has something for the entire family and the singing performances are simply breathtaking.
