WindCircle Woodwind Quintet

WindCircle is a new collaborative venture of some of the Triangle area’s finest musicians.

Clarinetist Merida Negrete from the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Department of Music, professional oboist Janet Shurtleff, Raleigh Flute Association President Rosene Rohrer, professional bassoonist Susan Cummings, and professional hornist Tim Dyess will offer a concert of both masterworks and favorites for woodwinds.

Mark Hopper of Henderson, N.C., will be featured as the guest pianist. Mark is an accomplished musician and serves as the Minister of Music and Organist for The First Baptist Church of Henderson and holds a Masters degree in Music and Performance from Samford University in Birmingham, Ala.

Works presented by WindCircle will feature Francis Poulenc’s Sextet for Wind Quintet and Piano in C Major, FP 100.
