handling sharp turns in the model T
It is absolutely imperative that the Model T not move in any direction with the steering wheel at more than 1/8 turn (pictured left). If operated at a sharper turn, the spokes on the front wheels will break, and there are no replacements available. The Model T will be unusable in this situation. Should you need to navigate a sharp turn, particularly when there is inadequate stage wing space, follow the procedures below. You will almost certainly need to follow these steps for an offstage reset. With short practice, this procedure can be completed very quickly during performances.

Find the taller (the double-decker!) of the two included dollies (pictured left).
Find the Rear Dolly

Position the dolly just behind the back axle of the Model T. With a partner, grab each end of the "bumper" as shown. Two strong people can easily handle this. Lift the Model T and pull it back so that the undercarriage box in the center of the rear axle sits squarely on the center of the dolly. A video of this quick procedure is at this link.

Find the shorter of the two included dollies (pictured left).
Find the Front Dolly

When lifting the front end, be certain that the tie rod (shown with red arrows left) does NOT rest on the dolly. Only the front axle (shown with white arrows left) should rest on the edge of the dolly.
Important--Avoid the Tie Rod!

Position the dolly just in front of the front axle of the Model T. With a partner, grab each end of the front handle as shown left. Two strong people can easily handle this. Lift the Model T and pull it back so that the front axle sits on the rear edge of the dolly. A video of this quick procedure is at this link.
