About this Production

The production will include a live professional band. All roles are nonpaying, non-Equity.
McGregor Hall and The Henderson Rec Players are committed to fostering a community of performers that is diverse both on and offstage. We are excited to welcome actors of any background, identity, ethnicity, body type, stage ability, or physical ability to audition, particularly those among groups that have historically been excluded from the arts. You are welcome here!
BLACK NATIVITY is presented by special arrangement with THE DRAMATIC PUBLISHING COMPANY of Woodstock, Illinois.
Dates
There will be two audition days:
- Sunday, September 27, 3pm
- Monday, September 28, 6:30pm
There will be two performances of Black Nativity at McGregor Hall:
- Saturday, December 19, 3:00pm
- Sunday, December 20, 3:00pm
Rehearsals will begin October 5, 2026
About Auditions
ALL ACTORS MUST REGISTER FOR AUDITIONS.
You may audition in person on either Sunday, September 27 at 3pm, or on Monday, September 28 at 6:30 pm. Please prepare to sing your favorite holiday selection. You will also be provided cold reads. Both audition sessions will be held at McGregor Hall. Enter through the stage door at the top of the ramp at the corner of Wyche and West Winder Streets in Downtown HendersonA few actors may be called back for an additional audition on Tuesday, September 29, at 6:30pm.
How to Register for Auditions
Log in to your existing (or create a new) McGregor Hall account at this link. Once logged in, choose "Events" from the blue menu bar at the top of the screen, then "New Registration." You'll see the NUMBER Black Nativity options that will take you through the registration process.
