Model T battery charging

Plug in the charger (stored under the seat).  Note that this one differs from a standard car battery charger since the Model T uses two batteries wired in series to produce 24 volts.

Prepare the Charger

01

Connect the charger clamps as pictured left, with one on each of the batteries.  Once attached, the charger will automatically start, and will display "dFS" as shown in the picture left for approximately 5 minutes.  Confirm that the charger shows '24v' in the bottom-left of the display.  If 12v is showing, confirm that the clamps are on the correct poles and that there is only one clamp on each battery.  There is no need to change any settings on the charger.

Connect the Charger

02

The charger display will eventually appear similar to the the picture left.  Once the battery symbol reaches 100%, the battery is fully charged.  Simply remove the two clamps (don't let them touch one another!), and the charger will automatically shut off.  Unplug the charger.
